Brett Combs is the founder of P.S. Platinum Properties, a luxury real estate brokerage with offices in North County, San Diego. Brett established P.S. Platinum in 2001, in his hometown of Del Mar, to address the need for a full-service concierge agency that would match the high-end level homes offered in San Diego. Brett’s goal is not to be the biggest agency in San Diego, but to be the best. He achieves this at P.S. Platinum by thinking outside the box with everything he does: creatively curated marketing campaigns, partnering with the best professionals in the industry, offering exceptional client service, and always conducting ethical and authentic business practices.

Brett is involved in all aspects of real estate, including finance, development, marketing, land, and new construction sales. His knowledge and experience has elevated P.S. Platinum to the top of the luxury real estate industry.

Brett has strong roots in North County. He was born in Toronto and moved to San Diego at a young age. He now lives in Solana Beach with his wife and three sons. He has spent his entire life invested in the North County community, where he and his company promote charitable causes, which he feels is one of the most important aspects of success.

I interviewed a number of agents for the sale of my house and chose Brett because my sense was he was the most honest and straightforward of the agents I met. He is also a master of marketing – look at the quality of the photos and videos he posts and dedicated website he puts up for homes. His videos aren’t just a montage of sweeping photos with cheesy music. They’re real videos. He has represented many, many sellers or buyers in Del Mar. It was important to me to use a broker who really knew Del Mar, and Brett ticks all the boxes. He isn’t they typical salesman with an overactive vocal engine who pretends to be your best friend. He doesn’t waste your time shovelling baloney – he tells it to you straight up. But he is very tactful. He doesn’t trash talk other brokers (like so many do).   • Brett Combs is a terrific agent. When first meeting, it was apparent he was most interested in strategically marketing our Del Mar home, not just listing it. His approach stood out and was reflected in the presentation of the home through “staging” recommendations, outstanding pictures and a narrated video which included a sweeping overhead panorama of where the house sat above the ocean in Del Mar. Brett created a standalone website for the home which allowed prospective buyers the opportunity to explore it in greater detail before they visited and review what they had seen after a visit. It was a great marketing tool. All showed the house beautifully and insured buyers could both see and “feel” the house.
    His intimate knowledge of Del Mar was essential in the marketing and selling process. Every few blocks in Del Mar impacts the accessibility of the beaches, restaurants, track and lagoon. Only someone with great knowledge of these intricacies can point out the benefits of specific locations, comparing and contrasting competing properties. During the selling process he used his market knowledge to help prospects see the benefits of our property.
    And last, but not least, he was an effective negotiator, was patient and yet firm when required. And he was invaluable during the escrow and closing process, with a team that kept things on track, saw potential difficulties in advance and was always prepared to get us to the finish line”.
